What is Stewardship?
Stewardship is a WAY of LIFE.
Stewardship is a SPIRITUALITY.
It's understanding who we are and who we were created to be.
God created everything. Everything is His anyway; we just get to take care of it for His glory. Stewardship is about recognizing our blessings and managing them well through a life lived in gratitude to our Maker. Stewardship is the grateful response of a Christian disciple who recognizes and receives God's gifts, and then shares these gifts out of love for God and neighbor.
How Do We Live the Life of a Disciple?
Stewardship is the action, the "how-to" of being a Christian disciple.
Stewardship is not an add-on to our lives. It is a way of life. It is a life of thanksgiving for all of God’s blessings. We realize all that all we have and everything we have been given is a gift from God. Our very lives, families, relationships, work, our health, material possessions, our talents, our faith, our knowledge: these are all gifts from God. So how do we steward these gifts? How do we generously and gratefully share these wonderful gifts out of love of God and neighbor?
In our response as disciples of Christ, Holy Apostles promotes stewardship as a way of life through 7 different stewardship areas: Prayer, Service, Faith, Finances, Vocations, God's Creation, and Personal Stewardship. Living out these 7 different stewardship areas helps us to fulfill our call as disciples of Christ and our Parish Mission:
